McPhadden Samac Tuovi LLP has commenced a proposed Xarelto class action.
Xarelto is a blood thinner used to prevent clotting that may result in strokes.
There are reports that Xarelto causes excessive bleeding. There is no antidote that can be taken to stop excessive bleeding in people taking Xarelto. Xarelto is intended as a substitute for Warfarin. The key difference is that the anti-coagulation effects of Warfarin can be reversed by vitamin K.
In the lawsuit, it is the plaintiff’s position that patients and their prescribing physicians were not adequately warned about the lack of an antidote.
If you or someone you know has suffered a personal injury because of excessive bleeding while taking Xarelto and would like to receive further information about this proposed Xarelto class action, please complete our online registration form.
