Avandia Class Action Commenced

On behalf of two Mississauga, Ontario plaintiffs, McPhadden Samac Tuovi has commenced a proposed class action against GLAXOSMITHKLINE INC. and related companies ("GSK") relative to the drug Rosiglitazone which is widely used to lower blood sugar levels in people who suffer from Type II diabetes mellitus.  Rosiglitazone is marketed and sold by DSK under the brand names Avandia, Avandamet, and Avandaryl. 

The legal proceeding involves people who took this drug and allege that they have developed adverse cardiovascular side effects including heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke, heart failure, as well as vision problems, liver injury and/or failure, weakened bone strength and primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH).
